FIL's Retirement Card
This is the Cd Card I made for my Father in law as it was his retirement on the weekend. Inside was a Cd which contained a photo show of his life etc.. which I love making for people!! He loved it and I was really happy with how the Card turned out.

I used the Apple Cider papers which are in the Spring Mini with Close To Cocoa , Really Rust and Choc Chip cardstock....Added a ribbon and a bit of hodge podge to make it more manly and voila!

These are a great idea for Xmas...If you are giving someone a Cd then why not make the cover yourself....

DAY FIVE Homeward Bound

What a great trip......It was such a fantastic time...Here we are with Jayne and Jo and Alisa below and then Nic and I with Aaron and Emma....Aaron is the Australian Manager of Stampin' Up! and Emma is the NZ Head. They are such fun!!! These are also photo's of what 6am looks like at Palm Cove......beautiful hey.....Ok will be posting some cards etc soon. All geared up for Noosa 2009!!!

DAY FOUR

Ok so we were very excited and were up at 3.45 am for our balloon trip. This is Dave when we knocked on their door. Being a bit early in the morning it took me a while to see the sign but we all got a good laugh from it and headed off to catch the early bus...Well to cut a long story short, when we got to Mareeba we had to stop and see where the launch site was going to be etc...The pilots have to do this every morning....It was pretty windy when we stepped off the bus but we were in high spirits and thought yep it will be fine....Well it wasn't.....5% of balloon trips get cancelled throughout the year andwe were one of them...We were so upset....Well I am not sure about Steve...I think he was a little relieved....He had to take a bit of convincing to do the ballooning in the first place...He has a thing with heights. But here is a photo of the sign....We are trying to pass it as us in the balloon!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is as close as we got to the real thing....The basket....
So we got back to the resort very early and had a yummy breakfast at one of the gorgeous restaurants along the beach and then had a relaxing day by the pool. Here is a shot of some of us with yet another pressie......Our lovely soft robes...with our initials on them...Again very spoilt. That evening was the best....We ent up to the table lands again and ate with LIONS...... No joke they were so close to us with only a fence and 10000 volts between us.... My battery ran out so haven't got too many good shots of the little pussy cats but I will never forget that experience......

I think the karaokeing on the bus on the way up also helped to flatten my batteries!!!

This is one of my fave photo's from the karaoke session that Nic and I organised for the trip up to the Lion's Den! It is the lovely Makeesha with her being true to herself....Can you tell I watch Idol...Singing Girl's just wanna have fun!

DAY THREE

Well it was stampin' Time on Friday morning and we were lucky enough to have Shelli stamp with us at our table. We were all given a brand new stamp set...not available yet???? Will I tell you what it was....Maybe we'll see....We were also given stamp pads and Chipboard and it was all in this gorgeous little bag. More pressies!!!

After our Session we had the day to relax and chill out. Here is a shot of the pool. The resort was just beautiful. That night alot of us headed out on the town and ended up at the Thai restaurant which was divine. It was an early night for us as we were getting up at 3.45 am to catch a bus up to the table lands to go hot air ballooning...Yeah well stay posted and i'll tell you how that went!

Day 2

Well it was off to Kuranda on the Thursday. We went up by train and I was lucky enough to sit with some of the hubbies! This is Steph and Emma's other halves...Sean and Neil and of course mine...Steve. The train trip was heaps of fun. The scenery was beautiful and i have plenty of shots of that so i have only picked out a few. We had lunch up at Kuranda and a walk around the markets etc. I stood and watched how candy was made for 40 minutes and can you believe I didn't take one photo!!! I was intrigued....Sarah and Steph were with me so maybe Sarah took some???.

WE got the skyrail back down to Cairns and yep this trip was heaps of fun as well. We stopped at 2 lookout points along the way. We were so high up it was amazing! That evening we pretty much were exhausted and decide to have indian takeout which was delish!!!!
